What are the best heart rate strap monitors to use with the Apple Watch?

I have the Apple Watch Sport and love it, but would like more accurate readings for my workouts. I would like a supplementary heart rate strap to help, but don't know which one to get. Also, I would like to be able to use it if I do not have my phone nearby as well!

Any suggestions?
